The story begins with an 8 year old Nikhil Dintakurthi  being expressly forbidden from watching TV shows while making his recovery from jaundice. Stuck with a tape recorder and 5 audio cassettes for company during the 6-month period, the toddler soon became an audiophile. All it took were a few iconic kathanikas for the romance of a lifetime to begin.
